We had a playgroup family day yesterday (Sunday) afternoon, a good one for the dads to be involved in. We had an animal farm visit, with lambs, rabbits, guinea pigs, silky bantams, ducks, baby goats and a piglet.
The kids all had a great time, even if the baby goats (or the other variety of kid!) tried to eat the clothes off their backs.

100 mile wardrobe part 2
100 mile wardrobe
We have some great childrenswear designers here in Geelong and surrounds (within 100 miles) Here's Livinia wearing Luna Ninos hat, vest and socks and laying on a Luna Ninos blanket as well (all made in Melbourne); and some Oishi-M pants, made in Torquay, on the coast about half an hour from here.
For me, it's important to support local industry (when it's not made by me!), and purchase quality clothing that will last, especially now that I have Livinia to wear Evie's hand me downs. Even better if I can buy them second hand.

Tree Day
It's national tree day today, organised by Planet Ark. A group of us from church went out to Lara this morning to plant trees. I wasn't much help with Livinia asleep on me in the baby carrier, but we had a good time, and the kids had fun planting trees and digging holes too. Hopefully I'll have some photos up soon, I just need to borrow my parent's camera as we forgot to take ours.
